wordbound is a portfolio platform for writers, game writers, narrative designers, and storytellers. We provide tools to create profiles, showcase written works, and connect with collaborators and opportunities.

The Service is provided "as is" and may be modified, suspended, or discontinued at any time without prior notice.

3. Account Registration

To use wordbound, you must:

• Be at least 13 years old (or 16 in the EU)
• Provide accurate and complete registration information
• Maintain the security of your account credentials
• Notify us immediately of any unauthorized access

You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.

4. User Content & Ownership

Your Content: You retain all ownership rights to the works, profiles, and content you upload to wordbound ("User Content"). By uploading content, you grant us a limited, worldwide, non-exclusive license to host, display, and distribute your content as necessary to provide the Service.

Your Responsibilities: You are solely responsible for your User Content. You represent and warrant that:

• You own or have necessary rights to all content you upload
• Your content does not infringe on third-party intellectual property rights
• Your content complies with all applicable laws and regulations
• Your content does not contain malware, viruses, or malicious code

5. Prohibited Conduct

You agree not to:

• Use the Service for any illegal or unauthorized purpose
• Harass, abuse, threaten, or impersonate other users
• Upload content that is hateful, violent, pornographic, or otherwise objectionable
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to our systems or other user accounts
• Interfere with or disrupt the Service or servers
• Use automated tools (bots, scrapers) without permission
• Violate any third-party intellectual property rights

6. Intellectual Property

wordbound IP: The Service, including its design, features, code, logos, and branding, is owned by wordbound and protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws.

You may not copy, modify, distribute, reverse engineer, or create derivative works from the Service without our express written permission.

7. Content Moderation

We reserve the right, but have no obligation, to monitor, review, or remove User Content that violates these Terms or is otherwise objectionable. We may suspend or terminate accounts that repeatedly violate our policies.

The Service integrates with third-party authentication providers (Google, LinkedIn, Microsoft). Your use of these services is governed by their respective terms and privacy policies. We are not responsible for the practices of third-party providers.

9. Disclaimers & Limitation of Liability

AS IS: The Service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including but not limited to warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement.

Limitation: To the maximum extent permitted by law, wordbound shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including loss of profits, data, or goodwill, arising from your use or inability to use the Service.

Maximum Liability: Our total liability for any claim related to the Service is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim (or $100 USD if you have not made any payments).

10. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless wordbound and its affiliates, officers, directors, employees, and agents from any claims, damages, liabilities, and expenses arising from your use of the Service, violation of these Terms, or infringement of any rights of another party.

11. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your account immediately if you violate these Terms, engage in illegal activities, or pose a risk to the safety of other users. You may also deactivate your account at any time.

12. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. Material changes will be communicated via email or in-app notifications. Your continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

13. Governing Law & Disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of Brazil and the State of Minas Gerais, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Any disputes arising from these Terms shall be resolved in the courts located in Minas Gerais, Brazil.
